Gentle care for baby’s skin

Baby’s skin is very sensitive, so it requires special gentle care products containing as few ingredients as possible, and essentially free of plasticizers, essential oils, mineral oils, as well as preservatives, fragrances, and colorings. You can find more information on the topic of “Protecting baby’s sensitive skin” here.

Cleaning

For babies, warm water only at first! Their extremely sensitive skin after birth needs to develop, so do not use bath additives or other cleansing care at the beginning, they would only dry out the skin. For babies who already have dry skin, we recommend applying a fragrance-free cream specially designed for babies after the bath: Lavera Baby & Child Care Cream

Once baby’s skin is more resistant to external aggressions, use Weleda Baby Body & Hair Cleansing Cream for the bath: enriched with calendula extract and organic sweet almond and sesame oils, it gently cleanses and has a nourishing action, preventing the skin from drying out.

Diaper rash – Inflamed buttocks

First, to prevent this from happening, be sure to change diapers frequently and clean the area thoroughly with clean water. If irritation already appears, leave the bottom in the open air! For care, we recommend:

  • Weleda Baby Diaper Cream: rich in organic calendula and chamomile extracts, this soothing and perfectly covering cream prevents the appearance of redness and regenerates already weakened skin.
  • Pilogen “Bio Bio Baby” Zinc Oxide Paste: dermatologically tested, this treatment contains the best oils, vitamins and organic calendula extracts to form a thin protective film against humidity and thus prevent irritation.

Sun protection

Very, very, VERY important! We particularly recommend the Neutral Baby Sun Cream SPF 50+ from ECO-Cosmetics, specially developed for sensitive, allergic, and redness-prone skin. It is 100% natural mineral protection against UVA, UVB, and UVC rays. In addition, it is water-resistant!

Important: If you are not sure, do not hesitate to ask your pediatrician or family doctor for advice!
